#13: Guilty or Not Guilty
I think that Sarah Koenig's method of slowly introducing new information and sharing it in a certain way is fair because it shows you the multiple evidence that is being found through out the case and showing you the many sides of the people that are involved and what investigators would look at in this situation.

#12 Great Depression
Four facts on the depression:
- The deepest and longest-lasting economic downturn in the history of the Western industrialized world
- The Great Depression began soon after the stock market crash of October 1929
- By 1933, when the Great Depression reached its nadir, some 13 to 15 million Americans were unemployed and nearly half of the country’s banks had failed.
- Some economies started to recover by the mid-1930s. In many countries, the negative effects of the Great Depression lasted until the beginning of World War II.
- The Dust Bowl, also known as the Dirty Thirties, was a period of severe dust storms that greatly damaged the ecology and agriculture of the US and Canadian prairies during the 1930s.
- Severe drought and a failure to apply dry land farming methods to prevent wind erosion (the Aeolian processes) caused the phenomenon.
- The worst man-made ecological disaster in American history.
- An Okie is a resident or native of Oklahoma.
- Refer to very poor migrants from Oklahoma.
- He worked his way through college at Stanford University but never graduated.
#11 R Novel
I do think that the novel "Cut" should stay an "R" novel for college English and allow people to learn more about the difficulties behind depression and so you the side that you never get to see. It allows people to expand there learning with depression and show you that its not just a weakness but an actual illness.

#8 First Half of Cut
One of the most memorable parts of the first part of the book was when Calli finally starts to talk and explain what makes her feel the way she does. This occurred when she cut herself while she was suppose to be sleeping but it kept bleeding and she didn't know how to stop it so she finally asked the nurse on duty to help her and that's when she felt like people were there to help her and she could open up. I choose it because it shows how when you finally have someone show that they care, then finally they want to open up and it shows that support is the key to success in healing.
#7 Small Group Novel
The book cut is an awesome way to show you the side of mental illness and the healing process of these illnesses. It shows you that when your going through these things alone its not only you that is feeling this way. This book shows you that every little thing that you have going on in your life, it feels like those things are your fault and you have the whole weight of the world on your shoulders. It shows you that no matter how simple it is for some people to talk about there illness its not as easy for you or other people. It shows you the nitty gritty side of the illness and how much it takes to feel better.
#6 Vaccination
My thoughts on the vaccinations and attendance is that students should not be aloud in the school without them because it could cause the other students to get an illness that could cause them to become so ill that it could result in the death of another student. It should be mandatory to be able to attend schools anymore to allow the illness to remain dormant and not allow them to flare up and cause more illness to morph into different strands of it.
#5 Mental Health
I think having mental health programs within schools is a great idea. It allows students at a young age to realize that mental illness isn't a terrible thing and it should be talked about and you should be able to go to anyone and receive help. You shouldn't be looked at like you have Ebola. I cant wait to see how the world changes from introducing this curriculum into schools.
#4 "how significant of a problem do you think this is?" samsung
"how significant of a problem do you think this is?"
I think this is a serious problem and it its going further into peoples privacy than a TV should ever go, A TV is never meant for giving feedback or sending back data to the consumer. A TV is meant for the entertainment purpose. This bothers me that companies now feel the right to snoop even further into our privacy when all were doing is trying to get basic entertainment without leaving the comfort of our homes.
